Berg + Schmidt Animal Nutrition opens new company in Dubai

Move will allow company to respond to growing demand for feed additives in Gulf Cooperation Council states.

Berg + Schmidt - Animal Nutrition has unveiled new subsidiary Berg and Schmidt Middle East Trading LLC in Dubai. The strategic move will allow the company to respond to the growing demand for feed additives and offer clients enhanced customer service in the Gulf Cooperation Council states (GCC). Berg + Schmidt is part of the Stern-Wywiol Gruppe, from which CEO Torsten Wywiol, attended the grand opening ceremony in August, underlining the importance of this key business decision. By opening a warehouse in UAE, Berg + Schmidt will enhance the distribution of the company’s specialties such as LipoVital functional lipids, LipoAktiv rumen protected glucose and amino acids, BergaFat fat powders, lecithins, trace minerals and emulsifiers within the Middle East region for poultry, ruminants, and aquaculture.

The Middle East feed market is rapidly expanding, especially for broilers, aquaculture, dairy, and beef. The Gulf States such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman have an ever-increasing need for live-stock feed but also huge demand for innovative feed additives that support health and performance of the animals.
